Intaf District Assistants were all issued with uniforms which is covered under a separate pull out. This section looks at the kit that was issued to everybody during the Bush War. national Servicemen drew their kit from the Quartermaster at Chikurubi Training Depot. Regulars and the specialist units deployed at the various DC's Stations were also issued with the same kit supplied to the DC's Station from Chikurunbi. The following was the general kit issue with the exception of the battle vests which were issued to the ARUs.

50 Round cloth ammunition bandolier. These were popular with the DAs who were issued with .303 rifles and allowed them to carry more ammunition due to a limited number of magazines per rifle.
